Akwasi Frimpong excited to join Russian National Skeleton team for training towards Beijing 2022
Ghana’s Winter Olympian, Akwasi Frimpong has disclosed an opportunity to train with the Russian National Skeleton team.
He said the dream of representing Ghana and Africa in the sport of skeleton, winning a medal and inspiring others is still on.
He thanked the Russian Bobsleigh and Skeleton family.
The excited Olympian Frimpong noted that it is “Great news! I am beyond excited to announce I will be joining the Russian National Skeleton team on my road to Beijing 2022”.
“While training with the Russian skeleton team does not guarantee I will make it to the 2022 Olympic Games, working with top level athletes and coaches in the world could make the difference in improving my athletic skills so I can better qualify for the Olympics’ he said.
“Training with Russia will help me continue achieve their dreams. Super grateful to the Russian Bobsleigh and Skeleton family for giving me this massive lifetime opportunity. Спасибо” he expressed.
